Welcome to points to ponder with Saint Pierre.

00:00:04 Speaker 1

I am Saint Pierre, Verily, verily, I say to you that hate is a loud mouth with words as weapons, the mouth of hate is fuse, disgust and disdain for everything.

00:00:15 Speaker 1

Not of its.

00:00:15 Speaker 1

Own so let.

00:00:16 Speaker 1

Us hunters amount of hate.

00:00:20 Speaker 1

When I was a kid, we had to walk to the bus stop for school. The walk was about 1/5 of a mile one way.

00:00:26 Speaker 1

Most of the walk was enjoyable until passing this one house.

00:00:30 Speaker 1

This House had a fenced yard, but that yard contained 2 vicious Dobermans.

00:00:34 Speaker 1

As I walked past the yard each day, the Dobermans would bark at me ferociously.

00:00:39 Speaker 1

They would let me know, undoubtedly, that they were waiting for the opportunity.

00:00:43 Speaker 1

To tear me into pieces, their teeth were intimidating.

00:00:46 Speaker 1

Their bark incited in me all kinds of fear.

00:00:50 Speaker 1

Their constant pursuit of my blood delegitimize my human existence.

00:00:54 Speaker 1

To them, I guess I was just a piece of meat.

00:00:58 Speaker 1

But the intimidation, the incitement and the delegitimization by these angry beasts or examples of what spews from the mouth of hate, hate seeks to intimidate.

00:01:09 Speaker 1

With its angry, rageful words, it seeks to incite fear and submission, and it always tries to delegitimize anything other than its own.

00:01:19 Speaker 1

Hate is a loudmouth bully.

00:01:22 Speaker 1

Many of us are familiar with bullies.

00:01:25 Speaker 1

Their goal is intimidation, hate loves to intimidate it, finds great pleasure in saying things to boast about its own power to make some one obliged by its will hate brags about all that it can or will do in its plight to oppress others.

00:01:41 Speaker 1

It boldly proclaims self worth.

00:01:45 Speaker 1

Everyone else is just a pawn in the game.

00:01:48 Speaker 1

Hate believes that volume and frequency equal dominance the louder it speaks and the more often it does, somehow reinforce its ability to intimidate.

00:01:57 Speaker 1

But hate is usually all bark and no bite for its words of intimidation are really evidence of its insecurity.

00:02:05 Speaker 1

True power is demonstrated when others are celebrated and lifted.

00:02:08 Speaker 1

It is displayed when individuality and differences are appreciated.

00:02:13 Speaker 1

If you must treat someone else badly just to make yourself feel good, then you are truly a soul that does not love itself.

00:02:20 Speaker 1

Intimidation is not the place of power.

00:02:25 Speaker 1

Hate does not just want to intimidate, it also wants the insight.

00:02:29 Speaker 1

Hate wants the insights of mission.

00:02:32 Speaker 1

It wants you to bow down to it.

00:02:34 Speaker 1

Its thunderous Bart desires to make you cower in fear, paralyzed by terror and unable to move.

00:02:41 Speaker 1

Hate wants to render you powerless if it can get you to flinch, it can take away your power.

00:02:46 Speaker 1

It uses certain words and slang to inflict insult onto others.

00:02:50 Speaker 1

It might call Arabs *** *****.

00:02:52 Speaker 1

It might call Mexicans Taco heads or Native Americans Redskins.

00:02:57 Speaker 1

Most notably, is the term spoken upon black Americans, Niger.

00:03:02 Speaker 1

Niger was and is, a word full of contempt, hate, and evil.

00:03:06 Speaker 1

Hearing it can incite all kinds of feelings, depending on the context.

00:03:10 Speaker 1

Imagine a nine year old black girl cornered against the wall with four or five grown white men yelling at her.

00:03:18 Speaker 1

Calling her this that just speaking these words right now, inciting me in anger and rage. But to that little girl. It probably took away her power, made her feel inferior and worthless. Hate wants to stir up whatever it can to make you.

00:03:37 Speaker 1

Submit to it.

00:03:40 Speaker 1

The power of life and death is in the tongue as it states in proverbs 1821. Therefore, whatever we say to others, and even to ourselves, manners, words can be weapons and are often used mercilessly when hate seeks to annihilate.

00:03:58 Speaker 1

Furthermore, the mouth of hate seeks to delegitimize that means it wants to take away your dignity, your integrity, and your very humanity.

00:04:06 Speaker 1

This loud mouth says things to question your racial purity.

00:04:09 Speaker 1

It loves to stir up confusion around your birthright or citizenship.

00:04:13 Speaker 1

Its goal is to treat you as less than human, less than animals in some cases.

00:04:18 Speaker 1

It calls black people dogs.

00:04:20 Speaker 1

It says that Mexicans or mules, it proclaims women or objects to exploit nothing and no one or off limits to hates opposition.

00:04:29 Speaker 1

Even babies are not exempt from such delegitimization.

00:04:33 Speaker 1

The term Gator babies in the US refers to black babies that were used as bait to lure alligators.

00:04:42 Speaker 1

Human babies were used as alligator bait.

00:04:47 Speaker 1

They also called Jewish descendants of Holocaust survivors oven dodgers.

00:04:53 Speaker 1

Really true or not, the very hint of this is evidence of hates, unconscionable evil.

00:05:00 Speaker 1

How sick and delusional someone must be.

00:05:02 Speaker 1

To utter words that undermine the humanity of another person, how wicked one must be to come up with nicknames, to mock the pain, the torture, or the existence of someone else.

00:05:15 Speaker 1

Such hatefulness is not only absurd, but it is also evil, wicked and flat out ungodly, reducing.

00:05:22 Speaker 1

To such terms as why hate deserves, at a minimum, a good punch in its loud mouth.

00:05:30 Speaker 1

In this age of social media, hate has found it quick and easy to say whatever it wants, whenever it wants, and to whomever it wants.

00:05:38 Speaker 1

We see this in the negative comments in Instagram or Facebook posts where it loves to lurk.

00:05:43 Speaker 1

We read this in endless tweets from mindless Twitter trolls that feed off the pain of others.

00:05:48 Speaker 1

Hate seeks to be loud.

00:05:50 Speaker 1

To the point of deafening as it tries to intimidate, insight and delegitimize.

00:05:57 Speaker 1

At some point, and as often as necessary, it needs to be confronted.

00:06:01 Speaker 1

Remember those barking dogs, I?

00:06:02 Speaker 1

Spoke of earlier.

00:06:03 Speaker 1

Eventually I did not react in fear.

00:06:06 Speaker 1

Instead, I asserted my own confidence, even barked back at them.

00:06:09 Speaker 1

A few times.

00:06:10 Speaker 1

They left me alone after that.

00:06:12 Speaker 1

What we allow will continue.

00:06:16 Speaker 1

Matthew 1234 says what comes out the mouth comes from the heart. Therefore, we must find ways to silence hate inside.

00:06:24 Speaker 1

Out. Give it no rights, no room, and no voice in our societies. I leave you with these proverbs 11/9. Evil words.

00:06:33 Speaker 1

Destroy one's friends, proverbs 11/12. It is foolish to be little a neighbor, a person with good sense remains silent. Proverbs 11/17 your own.

00:06:44 Speaker 1

00:06:50 Speaker 1

Proverbs 15 one a gentle answer, turns away wrath, but hard words stir up anger.

00:06:56 Speaker 1

Proverbs 15 four gentle words bring life and health.

00:07:01 Speaker 1

A deceitful tongue crushes the spirit. Proverbs 1624 kind words are like honey sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.

00:07:12 Speaker 1

Proverbs 18 four a person's words can be life, giving water words of true wisdom, or as refreshing as a bubbling brook.

00:07:22 Speaker 1

Proverbs 1820 words satisfy the soul as food satisfies the stomach, the right words on a person's lips bring satisfaction.

00:07:33 Speaker 1

Proverbs 2015, wise speech is rarer and more valuable than gold, and rubies and proverbs. 2518 telling lies about others is as harmful as hitting them with an axe, wounding them with a sword, or shooting them with a sharp arrow.
